Although some of our Bin Lifters are capable of lifting up to 250 kg, the safe working load of a 240 litre wheelie bin is 96 kg (AS 4123.1–2008). Frequently overloading a wheelie bin could result in injury to the operator moving the bin, or damage to the wheelie bin itself.
Manually operated bin lifters require more physical effort to use. To avoid injury, we do not recommend using manual bin lifters more frequently than what is prescribed.
As basement carparks and underground areas have typically low ceiling heights, we recommend using lift-and-tilt bin lifters, like the Ecolift, Simplicity Plus and Universal.
Because of their safety panels, we recommend using a lift-and-tilt bin lifter in areas where there is general public access. Using full-swing bin lifters can cause injury to bystanders.
